A statement is registered if it is claimed, verified and civil:

  1. It is claimed if its author has claimed the statement by signing in before or shortly after submitting the statement.
  2. It is verified if it is claimed and its author has provided their street address in their registration and verified their email address by clicking the verification link emailed by Peak Democracy.
  3. It is civil if it is verified and it meets the guidelines for civility.

If any of these conditions are not met, then the statement is unregistered.

Statements are emailed at most once per day (in the morning).

Direct email or USPS.


3. What type of information would you like to receive from the Town of San Anselmo?
Public works and other projects in my neighborhood.

Sometimes

Public Works and other infrastructure projects (PG&E, MMUD, etc.)

3. What type of information would you like to receive from the Town of San Anselmo?
More detailed information about road closures for maintenance and repairs including time frames, parking impact, exclusions for weather, emergency provisions, contact information, etc. Our road is currently having a major sewer line replaced. We have had to question the contractor to get the above information.


4. Do you feel you are getting timely information about important topics relating to Town of San Anselmo government and services?
Sometimes

The flood control information was not well communicated causing an uproar.

Because downtown San Anselmo is obviously not doing well, what is the plan to fix the parking problems, the empty store fronts, etc.?

Direct email which could include upcoming issues as well as updates regarding town-wide as well as neighborhood issues
Major issues should warrant visits by town staff and council members,
Upcoming Town Council Agendas

Road or utility improvement schedules. Information might include what, why and how it’s being paid for.

Town Council Agendas might be helpful.
Upcoming town meetings such as Planning Commission.

Email regarding public communication should not be limited to Town Manager emails. They have improved but separate emails with issues in subject line could be helpful.

not sure what the Community Calendar is and how I would sign up for it. As far as I know all I get are the Town Manager's emails. Also I prefer that his/her email would be in the body of the text, rather than just as a link to the website. I"m not sure why this was changed, but I definitely prefer to be able to just glance at the email.

I am satisfied with the information I am getting.

Communicate directly with the residents as you have been doing through the newsletter. Avoid using social media like Facebook which has done a major disservice to our nation and democracy. I trust what I hear directly from the town, its officials and my neighbors.
