Share your feedback on draft concepts for the Queen Street Placemaking Plan!
The Queen Street corridor, between Duke and Charles Streets, is an important part of Kitchener’s history and landscape, and will become an even more important link for pedestrians once the LRT is up and running.
As part of the city’s capital improvement program, Queen Street is slated for resurfacing and Vogelsang Green is due for some improvements at the same time.
Before the required infrastructure upgrades begin, staff is taking the opportunity to look at the big picture to identify what the priorities are, and what work needs to be done, while considering how residents will use and interact with the space.
Tell us what you think!
We are looking to gather your feedback and to have you help us identify and prioritize the types of features/elements that could be included along Queen St.
In the survey, we have provided two concepts with features to consider, and would appreciate your feedback in helping us prioritize the items listed. It is important to note that the current concepts are for feedback purposes, and the final concept will be provided to council for approval, once resident and stakeholder feedback, project scope, and budget have been considered.
Your feedback will ultimately contribute to creating a more vibrant, active corridor for residents visit for both business and pleasure. View the website for additonal information at http://kitchener.ca/en/insidecityhall/queen-street-streetscape-engagement.asp
