The launch of ION light rail service in 2018 will mean a whole new transit experience in the Region of Waterloo. When light rail service starts, many GRT bus routes will change to connect directly to ION stations. Others will run more directly and more often between important destinations. Aligning routes to support a grid network will help to make travel more efficient.

We want your input on the 2018 transit network. Your feedback on the proposed bus route changes will help us build a better, faster transit network over the next five years.

Transportation decisions often involve tradeoffs. For example, widening a road to improve traffic flow may require private property to be purchased, more road noise, and less accessibility for pedestrians.

Complete a short survey on the Engage Region of Waterloo platform to let staff know what you think about different transportation decisions. Your responses will help us to better understand your priorities and will help shape the vision for the future of transportation in this community
