Any other thoughts on why and how you use the El Cerrito Library?
I have been using the El Cerrito Library for about 20 years, since I first moved to the area. Though the physical premises may not be the most attractive of any library I've visited, the staff and what the library offers are tip-top. I have attended poetry readings there (and wish they could take place more often); and I love the fact that the children's programs are so enthusiastically attended. I actually am a member of other Bay Area libraries (Berkeley and Albany) but I enjoy the El Cerrito library most.

Any other thoughts on why and how you use the El Cerrito Library?
Would love to see a library similar to Albany's or Lafayette's. (Though Albany's is also loud and it is often the librarians!)
I hope we can find/build a space soon.

I agree with those advocating for a sports/fitness center. It would be ideal to have a facility that would allow groups of people to play indoor pickleball along with other court sports.

Any other thoughts on why and how you use the El Cerrito Library?
I think of the Library as a type of Community Family Room where there is (or should be) something for all members of our community. Where folks of all ages can come, to find resources and materials that are appropriate for their interests and needs. It is and should be a center for life-long learning, a safe place of brightness and joy where people from all parts of our community can come together to learn from the materials and programs, and also from each other.

Any other thoughts on why and how you use the El Cerrito Library?
I've used libraries all my life and its hard to imagine living in a community that does not have one. I love being able to check out books (print and digital) and that there is a librarian to whom I can ask questions or for help find information. The library is one of the best investments I make when paying taxes. I want to see the library expand to accommodate changing needs of our community. I used to hang out at my library when I was younger because it had room. I miss being able to do that, so I hope to see a bigger community library soon!

Any other thoughts on why and how you use the El Cerrito Library?
Our library is a destination spot for various age groups here in El Cerrito. We desperately need a new 21st century library with enough space to separate the spaces needed to service the varied age groups using our library. We need more public access computers to provide residents without the means to have a computer at home the ability to use the internet and email. We need a facility that is more energy efficient and better equipped to support users personal technology. More community rooms so more divers programs and instructional programs and after hours community meetings can be held.
