Adoption of the Fiscal Year 2011/2012 Budget»
On June 21, the Lake Oswego City Council will hold a public hearing and adopt a spending plan for the next fiscal year. The budget allows the City to continue services, keeps general operating costs relatively flat, and recognizes the desire to assist the Lake Oswego School District and begin to pay down the debt on the West End Building. Please provide your input on the spending plan to City Council for inclusion in the June 21 public hearing.

The Golf and Tennis Feasibility Study has recommended that a new 8 court tennis facility be built, with room to expand to 10 courts in the future. Funding for the new facility will not require tax support, but instead be based upon the sale of the existing Indoor Tennis Center property, Tennis Fund reserves, and a revenue bond secured by the City of Lake Oswego (Note – a revenue bond is paid back with revenues generated from tennis facility programs and court fees as opposed to taxing all citizens). What do you think about this recommendation?

The study recommends that the driving range be relocated to Luscher Farm, that it be enlarged to 300 yards, and that a warm-up / learning center area be constructed at the existing golf course.
