What are the top three things that would motivate you to drive less?
According to the 2010 US Census, 65 percent of Palo Alto residents still drive to work alone each day. The current Comprehensive Plan includes over 50 policies and programs designed to reduce reliance on the automobile. Examples of these policies include expanding the carpooling incentive program, encouraging telecommuting, and making land use decisions that encourage walking, bicycling, and using public transportation. A full list of policies and programs can be found in the adopted Transportation Element.
Your feedback will be used at the May 30th Our Palo Alto 2030 The Summit and incorporated into the information used in the preparation of the draft Comprehensive Plan Update.
