What type of future development would you like to see within Priority Area 1?
The more high density homes and shopping, there will be more crime entering on bart. I want to keep that out of our city. We moved here for the small town charm and bedroom community. I lived in Fremont when the extended BART there, and there was so much more crime when that happened. People can drive if they want to take BART. Keep it out! And the more high density housing means more low income and section 8 riff raff. No thanks. We enjoy our city how it is, small and friendly. And we pay the taxes to prove it. I am (like many other mothers I know) am totally ok to drive somewhere else to go shopping etc. I love coming home from a swing shift and seeing the streets quiet.

What type of future development would you like to see within Priority Area 1?
More businesses so that high school and college students can get internships. There's no work for students out here, only retail. Also, a major improvement in the public transportation system. I can't get to many areas in Brentwood by bus and they only run once an hour. It's really inconvenient. More variety in jobs/businesses, more affordable housing, and a better public transportation system is what I'd like to see.
