I would hope they would control the traffic from the bar next door. Too many people hang out in the parking lot now. I am a vegetarian and a choice of "semi" fast food might be OK, but I will probably eat else where. Tying up the property for 20 years is also a gamble for the Hahn's; so far the developments I have seen them propose have been GREEDY! and that is probably why their last coalition fell through. From the numbers so far .. residents don't like it. I live in Adams Point.

I would personally love to see a mixed-use development on the site, particularly one that increases density. This neighborhood with it's transit options, walkable amenities, and dense residential typology is perfect for this.
I'd hate to think that this is any example of Oakland settling for second best again. With all the residential construction currently going on at Grand/Broadway and the rise of the Temescal, can't we do better?
On the otherhand, I think that it is imperative that Oakland work with Mr. McGlockton to create investment opportunitiesfor his company, particularly for someone who has a strong connection to Oakland.
