We're making progress on drafting the updated Land Development Code. You may now review and comment on the second module of the draft Code.
To promote quality development and redevelopment in Tamarac, the City is in the process of revising our Land Development Code. At each step of this process, we’re seeking public input to help us identify improvements.
The Code revisions are being drafted in several portions - you may have already shared your input on the first module. The second module is now available for your review and comment (download it here). It primarily relates to zoning districts and land uses:
Article 10-2 defines the zoning districts and the standards for residential, non-residential, mixed use and other districts.
Article 10-3 provides the standards for general and specific, such as residential, public, commercial, industrial and other uses.
Article 10-5 has already been posted in the first module, but has since been updated.
To comment on this draft, please click on the “Add Your Comment” button below. You may also email your suggestions to Frank.Zickar@tamarac.org. Please share your input by October 15, 2016.
The City's consultants and staff will review your comments when finalizing the draft that will be brought before the City Commission for a vote once all modules are completed.
Thank you for your participation. It helps us ensure that the new Code meets the needs of our community.
