How would you spend $500 to fund what is most important to you in Salinas?

We’re designing the new budget for the City of Salinas, and we’d like you to take part.
The City is committed to allocating money based on what matters most for the good of Salinas (it’s known as priority-based budgeting).
So we want to know what matters most to you. You can tell us by taking the Salinas Budget Challenge: spend an imaginary $500 on what you think are the most important results the City should achieve.
It takes just 5 minutes to do the quick Budget Challenge, or 15 minutes if you’d like to go into more detail.
What you spend on each result will show how important you think it is. You can add new results (or sub-results) if you like, and you can write a statement, too.
Are you ready to pitch in? Just click to get started on allocating $500 to the 36 sub-results.
Or, if you have just 5 minutes, allocate $500 to the 6 main results, click here.
