What is your vision for a revitalized Blue Rock Springs Golf Course?
Blue Rock Springs Golf Course is comprised of two 18-hole public golf courses owned by the City of Vallejo. However, declining use and inadequate investment have led to operational losses, and the course(s) are now subsdized by the City's annual budget at approximately $800,000 per year.
At the direction of City Council, the City is embarking on a revitalization plan, and will begin by seeking private investors/firms that can rennovate the courses and the clubhouse and return Blue Rock Springs Golf Course to its championship form. The City will be issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) - seeking firms with the experience, knowledge, and financial capabilities to succeed in the revitalization of this public course.
The RFQ will have two distinct goals:
1) Retain golf activities and retain the community and neighborhood aesthetics and eliminate the $800,000 annual City subsidy.
2) Fund the construction of a new, multi-use clubhouse.
What is your vision for the future of Blue Rock Springs Golf Course?
What would you like to see as part of the revitalization project?
What are the key assets and challenges?
Your feedback will help City staff evaluate the responses to the RFQ and select the best partner.
