Arlington County Government is developing its 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The CIP is a planning document that outlines Arlington’s long-range capital improvement objectives and priorities.
The CIP typically includes major investments in parks, libraries, transportation, community centers, facilities, technology, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure – along with other areas that support the community. Continued reinvestment in existing assets combined with strategic investments in new assets is essential to the County's future success.
Arlington updates its CIP every two years; the CIP was last updated in June 2010. (Note: The County Government's CIP is separate from the Arlington Public Schools' CIP, which is prepared by APS.)
With so many competing capital needs, please share your thoughts on the proposed CIP for FY 2013 - FY 2022. Learn more about the CIP, process, and timeline.
