OPEN TOWN HALL is administered by Peak Democracy, a non-partisan company whose mission is to build public trust in government through online public comment forums that are civil yet meet government freedom-of-speech and transparency laws.

It's hard for most residents to participate in city council and other government meetings. Whether they're intimidated by public speaking, uncomfortable confronting others with opposing views, uneasy about publicly stating their opinion or too busy to attend evening meetings, most of the community's voices are rarely heard. When only a few people participate, it can be hard to know what the rest of the community thinks.

Peak Democracy helps government agencies bring missing voices into the community dialog. Instead of waiting for a three minute window to speak in front of a few attendees, residents can read what many are saying online and make their own statement on their own schedule from the safety and privacy of their own home.
